Kuhnia eupatorioides (False Boneset)
False Boneset grows in dry prairies and sandy soils. The plant grows up to four feet tall. It has toothed or smooth alternate leaves. Leaves on the upper stems are smaller than lower leaves. Stems branch near the top. Flower heads are about 3/4" tall, cylindrical, and form rounded clusters. Each head has 7-20 yellowish-white disk flowers with protruding styles. The plant blooms from midsummer to fall.
