Heliopsis helianthoides (False Sunflower)
False Sunflower is common in wet areas of upland prairies. It blooms from late spring into fall. It grows to four feet tall. The opposite leaves, which can be six inxhes long and three inches wide, are triangular, serrated, and stalked. Each flower head measures two to four inches across and is made up of a dark disk and up to 20 yellow ray flowers.
