Desmanthus illinoensis (Illinois Bundle Flower)
This more delicate specimen of Illinois Bundle Flower shows smaller leaves and flower heads.
Illinois Bundle Flower grows in disturbed areas of prairies and pastures. The alternately compound leaves are made up of tiny leaflets. In early to midsummer, flower heads are round with tiny white petals and yellow stamens.
