Dalea candida (White Prairie Clover)
This specimen of White Prairie Clover shows one entire stem with its alternate leaves (of from 3 to nine leaflets) and a flower spike. White Prairie Clover grows in dry to mesic prairies and is drought resistant with deep roots. The plant averages about two feet in height. It blooms in late spring to summer.
