Carex bicknellii (Prairie Sedge)
Prairie Sedge grows from 18 inches to three feet tall. It resembles a grass with its long narrow leaves and stems. It grows in upland and wet prairies. The flower heads contain male and female flowers that bloom from midspring to early summer.
