Asclepias viridiflora (Green Milkweed)
This specimen of Green Milkweed has broader, rounder leaves than other specimens. The two flower clusters appear on stalks at the leaf points near the top of the stem. Green Milkweed grows in dry or sandy prairies. It is usually less than two feet tall. Flowers are pale green and seed pods are long and narrow.
