Asclepias verticillata (Whorled Milkweed)
This specimen of Whorled Milkweed shows the many narrow leaves that give the plant its name. It also shows the small clusters of flowers, originally greenish. Whorled Milkweed grows in dry prairies and pastures. It blooms in late spring through summer.
