Asclepias incarnata (Swamp Milkweed)
In summer the Swamp Milkweed features reddish-pink flowers with white centers clustered on a rounded head. The leaves are long, narrow, and tapered. Seed pods up to four inches long are also tapered to points. The Swamp Milkweed is common in wet prairies and along ponds and streams in the tallgrass prairie region.
