Paul Kreger worked for the Illinois WPA graphics program in Chicago.
This piece is a silkscreened poster advertising the zoo. To make a silkscreen print, the artist paints with glue onto a piece of silk stretched on a frame. After the glue dries, the artist squeegees ink through the screen onto paper. This whole process is done for each color in the print.
