This group of beads has surface texture, (viewable in Eye Spy) such as crosshatching and ribbing. This texturing was done by hand while the glass was still hot. The last two strings of beads in the left column are among the types that Stephen A. Frost & Son exported to Africa.Collection of the Illinois State Museum
