Early American style
Wood, probably maple
This circular lamp table was designed with semicircular rails, a decorator's attempt to imitate the lathe-turned rails and slats found on some Early American furniture. Other Early American-style reproduction furnishings popular during the sixties included captain's chairs, ladderback chairs, corner cupboards, hutches, spindle beds, poster beds, and roll-top desks. Most of these were made of maple and many had laminated Formica tops "for family use."
