Exhibit Displays from the Illinois State Museum

	The setting in this display suggests a log house. The objects represent items that the early settlers might have brought with them or made themselves. A log house was the first home of many a settler.
	This display depicts a living room in a frame house. The objects are items that might have been found in a living room or parlor. The objects show progress in commercialism because they were brought to Illinois by steamboat from far away places. Some settlers built frame houses after they had become established in Illinois.
