Modern Farming Tools: Harrow with Teeth
A four-horse team is pulling a harrow with teeth. It was used in the spring after plowing and again to cultivate once corn came up and reached 3-4 inches in height. The driver sat behind on a sulky.
This harrow is constructed with an open grid work of wood planks in four sections. They are attached by hooks to a round crossbar that is in turn attached to doubletrees to hold the horses' harnesses.
